I've been considering leveling up a Mage, on the DE side of the world, but the lack of mage trainers, in Darnassus, makes that almost impossible to do.
What about Darkshore and Ashenvale - do those zones have mage trainers?
Edit: I just located this info. No trainers outside IF and SW = bleh

It's easy enough to hearthstone in one direction to train in Ironforge. Then at level 20 you'll be able to teleport to Ironforge and hearthstone back to Auberdine or Astranaar.
I levelled my dwarf paladin 6-30 on kalimdor.
Stay bound in Auberdine and ride the boat. You level so fast early on, you can even skip training once or twice and remain useful. It's not that big a deal.
Much easier for a mage, given port.
The night elves watched demons invade and the world get blown up real good due to the actions of mages & warlocks once - why would they encourage them?Originally Posted by Raven

I'm assuming that I am in charge of the government, because if I am not in charge of the government none of this is realistic.
They don't seem to have much objections to a human trainer teaching mages to tear apart the fabric of space and time and reshape it into a portal. And well, that's magic, right?Originally Posted by Zruu

Funny thing is that the darnassus portal trainer used to be a night elf, too!Originally Posted by Ikeya

Where precisely do shadow priests draw their shadow magics from anyway? It sounds a lot like warlocky magic to me.
theramore DOES have a trainerOriginally Posted by Sehra
however, the flight from theramore to Auberdine and back takes longer than the trip to ironforge without hearthstoning.
How is time involved here?Originally Posted by Ikeya

i'm in the process of duoing my warlock with my friend's mage and we have done nothing but ne quests. we started out at level 1 having a mage port us to darnassus so we could level up from 1 using only ne quests.
since there are two of us we have been able to do all the quests. and since low level mobs are easy tag teamed we were able to skip getting new spells till level 6. since 6 we have made the trip to stormwind or ironforge to get our spells every 2 levels. it's not to bad, and the higher you get the less you have to do it since levels take longer. we're up to 16 now.
however you cant completely do it because of class quests. the warlock needs to get his pets and the mage has some quests also.
however, if your not duo'ing it in order to do every last quest (some arent soloable) or you dont have loads of rested xp all the time, your going to run out of quests to do. we're already running out of quests at 16 leaving us with only orange quests left. so chances are you'll still have to head back to the dorf quests or human quests to augment some of your leveling. it's definetly a nice change of pace over the goldshire / westfall line so far though. it seems even most of the night elves travel straight to human lands to quest and skip their own ne quests.
