[WoW] Is the name RKP acceptable?

Vote above on the basis of whether or not the name is acceptable on a normal server, not on the basis of whether it is acceptabe on rp servers. addiitonally, this is not on the basis of the rule but whether or not you think this name should be changed or not, based on your own opinions of how naming should be accepted.

The idea of the original thread was to see how people feel about naming violations, looking at a specific case. However, the other thread is swamped by RP server players applying their views to normal servers, so it's hard to see where everyone stands. In the interest of guaging our views on naming in WoW, I present this poll, divided between RP and non-RP servers. before anyone comes to a conclusion, I don't want this thread to "settle" the matter, just get an idea of how opinions vary.

Recall that hellscream is a Normal, not an RP server.

No one on that thread is applying RP standards to regular servers. Good idea to exempt half the WoW regulars on Graffe's by lumping them into a category on your poll, though. You keep going until you can "prove" that people agree with you.

But seriously, rules are rules. I think seeing people runing around with jsghj as their name, as well as L33tdude would take away from my immersion in the game, and cheapify it somewhat.

Even if you play on an rp server, the name was still on a normal server. I don't see it being a problem on a normal server, where the name changes should mostly be limited to offensive names. On an rp server however, it definately should be changed.

The name RKP is not acceptable according to the existing rules. Changing the rules might not be a bad thing, but if they allowed RKP without changing the rules first, then it would be a gross inconsistency.

Did you play UO, perchance?

/agree, RP or not, names like that did take away from the experience.

Maybe because I know better than to take you at your word if you say that. Whatever the poll results here would be, we'd hear about them in the next thread on this subject as "proof."

Since RKP is allegedly not you, are you sleeping with this person or something? Or did you just miss screaming about fire mages and MC and need a new obnoxious cause?

I have toons on both RP and non RP servers do I voted as a non RP server player and think the name is stupid and unacceptable.

Didn't say it would work, just that was what was being attempted.

It is a set of initials. In the original post in the WOW section, it was stated that the name was pronounced Arpeekay. Well, that is the new name, enjoy.

Alright, I originally voted that I had a problem with it, but after seeing the name 'Poobutter' survive for 30 levels on my pvp server I'm going to have to pull that oppinion.

Report Poobutter and he won't make it to 32.
