No way Thrall would let some filthy alliance take him alive. Sylvanas on the other hand would prolly walk to Stormwind for the right price.

Dynamic events are already planned. For instance, the opening of the Dark Portal, when implemented, will be a one time per server event that opens up a new area (the Outlands).
My take on the Jaina/Theramore situation -
1.) Thrall is an unusually cosmopolitan orc. A lot of that is, no doubt, due to his unusual upbringing, and the insight that its granted him. Further, as a "convert" to the orcish way of life (since he was raised as a human, and only decided to live as an orc later on), he's almost certainly more strict about certain parts of the orcish way of life. In this case, his personal honor appears to be extremely important to him. Part of that involves personal integrity. He has an agreement with Jaina, and intends to live up to his part of the bargain until he receives irrefutable proof that she plans on violating it. And even then, he knows her well enough to have someone double check that (as he did when he sent Rexxar to Theramore).
2.) A sizeable percentage of the Horde is still extremely distrustful of the members of the Alliance, and is ready to go to war at the drop of a hat. Daelin Proudmoore's appearence didn't help matters at all, nor does the fact that there are still a number of Kul Tiras marines in the area.
3.) From the Theramore side of the equation, you've got a city full of people who are under the rule of Jaina Proudmoore. Some of them fully support her. Others were sympathetic to Daelin Proudmoore. The latter who were in the guard have mostly deserted and taken over one of the abandoned guard towers out in the swamp. But its not too big of a stretch to suggest that there are still a sizeable number of sympathisers in Theramore.
4.) Making the situation even worse is that Theramore was assaulted and sacked just a few years prior by the Horde. Yes, it was in self defence, and yes Theramore was under the control of someone other than Jaina. But that doesn't change the fact that the Horde overran and destroyed a good portion of Theramore, and probably killed many people whose only mistake was to be in Theramore at the same time Daelin Proudmoore was.
5.) The hostility of the Theramoore guards is probably because its the only way that the game has to forcibly remove players of the opposing faction. I have no doubt that Jaina would prefer that members of the Horde don't walk the streets in Theramore, if only because of the potential for problems that might cause. If someone's stumbling out of the tavern drunk, remembers that his brother died in the assault on Theramore, and then happens to see an orc walking the streets of the city, what do you think is going to happen?
6.) Both sides are spying on each other. The Horde may have a quest that involves stopping Theramore infiltrators, but both sides have a quest that involves bringing the report of a dead Horde spy to their respective leadership. This is probably in part to make sure that neither side is planning on breaking the truce suddenly. Words are all well and good, but it doesn't hurt to have a little extra insurance.
7.) Someone burned down the Shady Rest Inn. While I suspect that Blizzard will take things off in an entirely different direction when they finish the quest line, right now the two prime suspects are either a group of mounted men, or a group of Tauran (hoofprints). The former points at Alliance troublemakers, while the latter points at Horde troublemakers. Until the true perpetrators are found, things like this are only going to make tensions worse.
Look at those hoofprints. They arn't cow hooves, they are raptor talons. the Barren's raptor are crafty bastards, they steal silver, they decorate themselves with feathers, hell, in one spot they built huts, comletely with cooking fires. And while they can't do anything about Crossroads, Ratchet, or Camp Taurjo, they can damn well burn down one lonely inn.Quote:

The problem with your argument is that while yes, I admit that they look suspiciously like clawmarks, the game consistantly identifies them as "hoofprints". Its rather difficult to mistake hooves for claws. Otherwise, I'd be inclined to suspect that the black dragonflight was responsible for what happened.Quote:

The problem with assigning blame for the inn is that even if it was "trolls", it probably wasn't "the darkspear trolls". If it was humans, it probably wasn't "alliance humans".
Hell, there's even some night elves I'd say weren't loyal to the alliance. I just hope the developers don't make Thrall and Jaina stupid because "lolz its teh c00lz0r 2 pk!111"

The Shady Rest Inn quests really needed to have completion. So much wasted potential.
Actually, that applies to Dustwallow on the whole, there isn't much there for Horde.
Although it having an ogre village is pretty cool.
My bets are on Onyxia's brood, actually.Quote:

She plays politics. I wouldn't put it past her at all to try to sow dissent by making it look like (group X) burned the inn down, just to try to set people at each others' throats.
That said, They need to fix or finish this. I STILL feel certain there's just a 4th quest somewhere, that opens up the next investigative step with the authorities... But maybe I'm just overly hopeful.

Otherwise, I would be in complete agreement with you on this one.
