Get the quest for the Warlock pointy hat in Stormwind. I'm a lvl 257 tailor and I can't make any pointy hats yet...Quote:

Pretty sure there aren't any player made pointy hats. Easiest way to get one would be to purchase it in the AH. As far as I can tell almost all the hats that have wizard or socerer in the name are pointy. I havn't seen any that you can use at your level though, most are low to mid 30s at best.
Fastest way is to be a warlock and to do the warlock quest for the pointy hat in 20's. You will get a pointy hat long before other classes are able to wear any pointy hat in their 30's.
the lowest dropped one is lvl 36 ;) so consider yourself lucky to be a warlock :D

I wore my Dread Mage Hat until level 39 when I got the Regal Wizard Hat of the Owl from a dropped lockbox. Best lockbox loot I've ever gotten :)
